  2.             WCL GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE

  4.  Copyright (C) 1992 Wade L. Hennessey
  5.  Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this
  6.  license, but changing it is not allowed.  You can also use this wording
  7.  to make the terms for other programs.
  8.  
  9.   The license agreements of most software companies keep you at the
  10. mercy of those companies.  By contrast, our general public license is
  11. intended to give everyone the right to share WCL.  To make sure
  12. that you get the rights we want you to have, we need to make
  13. restrictions that forbid anyone to deny you these rights or to ask you
  14. to surrender the rights.  Hence this license agreement.

  16.   Specifically, we want to make sure that you have the right to give
  17. away copies of WCL, that you receive source code or else can get
  18. it if you want it, that you can change WCL or use pieces of it
  19. in new free programs, and that you know you can do these things.

  42. notice "Copyright (C) 1992 Wade L. Hennessey.  All rights reserved."
  43. (or with whatever year is appropriate); keep intact the notices on all
  44. files that refer to this License Agreement and to the absence of any
  45. warranty; and give any other recipients of the WCL program a copy of
  46. this License Agreement along with the program.  You may charge a
  47. distribution fee for the physical act of transferring a copy.

  49.   2. You may modify your copy or copies of WCL or any portion of
  50. it, and copy and distribute such modifications under the terms of
  51. Paragraph 1 above, provided that you also do the following:

  67. Mere aggregation of another unrelated program with this program (or its

  87.     corresponding source code may be obtained.  (This alternative is

  91. For an executable file, complete source code means all the source code for
  92. all modules it contains; but, as a special exception, it need not include
  93. source code for modules which are standard libraries that accompany the

  97. except as expressly provided under this License Agreement.  Any attempt
  98. otherwise to copy, sublicense, distribute or transfer WCL is

  100. shall be automatically terminated.  However, parties who have received
  101. computer software programs from you with this License Agreement will not
  102. have their licenses terminated so long as such parties remain in full
  103. compliance.

  105.   5. If you wish to incorporate parts of WCL into other free programs
  106. whose distribution conditions are different, write to
  107. wade@sunrise.stanford.edu. We have not yet worked out a simple rule
  108. that can be stated here, but we will often permit this.  We will be
  109. guided by the two goals of preserving the free status of all
  110. derivatives of our free software and of promoting the sharing and
  111. reuse of software.

  119. WARRANTY, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE STATE LAW.  EXCEPT
  120. WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING, WADE L. HENNESSEY, AND/OR OTHER
  121. PARTIES PROVIDE WCL "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER
  122. EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED
  123. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
  124. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF WCL IS WITH YOU.
  125. SHOULD WCL PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  126. SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.

  128.   IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW WILL WADE L. HENNESSEY
  129. AND/OR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO MAY MODIFY AND REDISTRIBUTE
  130. WCL AS PERMITTED ABOVE, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING
  131. ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST MONIES, OR OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
  132. CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE
  133. (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED
  134. INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY THIRD PARTIES OR A FAILURE OF THE
  135. PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAMS) WCL, EVEN IF YOU
  136. HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM
